What is NanoFiction?
NanoFiction is an umbrella term for extremely brief fictional narratives that tell a complete story or capture a vivid moment using very few words.
At NanoFiction.Art, every piece begins with one of four ultra-concise forms:
- Six-word stories: Complete narratives or striking descriptions told in exactly six carefully chosen words.
- Two-sentence stories: Full story arcs or powerful vignettes expressed in just two sentences.
- Limericks: Five-line poems with an AABBA rhyme scheme, often playful, dark, or unexpectedly sharp.
- Haiku: Three-line poems following a 5–7–5 syllable structure, capturing a fleeting moment or distilled insight.
These forms demand precision. With so little space, every word carries weight.
NanoFiction relies on implication and restraint. The reader fills the gaps. The meaning expands beyond the page.
At NanoFiction.Art, the story comes first. The artwork is created from that foundation.
